How to distinguish between "sensitive goods" and "general goods"?

1. General goods

To put it simply, it refers to ordinary goods that have no special requirements for transportation, loading, unloading, and storage. That is, ordinary container boxes can be packed. They are not dangerous goods or frozen goods or fresh-keeping goods. They are not over-height or wide, and do not require special boxes such as frames. Goods are also not subject to commodity inspection.

2. Sensitive goods

Sensitive goods specifically include but are not limited to the following 10 categories of items:

1. For example, items containing liquids, any products containing liquids are sensitive goods!

For example: facial masks, wet wipes, nail polish, etc., as long as they contain liquid, they are considered sensitive products

Common products such as: facial masks, contact lenses, wet wipes, drinks, perfume, and ink cartridges.

Generally, for this type of product, the liquid must be below 100ml, and cannot be sent if it exceeds 100ml.

2. Items containing magnets

Products containing magnets or pure magnets are considered sensitive goods. General speakers, or products that produce music, contain magnets.

Common products: refrigerator magnets, noise-canceling headphones, radios, speakers, music boxes.

3. All items including batteries and lithium batteries

Please note that for general electrical appliances with batteries installed, products with built-in batteries or pure battery products are sensitive goods!

It should be noted that some sellers will give away batteries without the buyer’s knowledge, so it is best to inform the seller in advance not to send batteries, which can also save the cost of sensitive goods! If the battery is not built-in, you can also go to our warehouse and ask the operating colleagues to remove the battery.

Common products: mobile phones, iPads, computers, sports watches, game controllers, game consoles, power banks, children's toys, and all products containing lithium batteries.

4.International brands

Contains products from international brands. Common international brands: Nike, Adidas, etc., as long as they are registered in the customs system or are household names. This will always be treated as a name brand.

5. Items containing powder (white powder is prohibited)

Powdered food, medicinal powders, and other products containing powdery substances are all sensitive goods. But the powdery sensitive goods referred to here refer to powders of various colors. White powder is contraband and cannot be sent!

Common commodities: chili powder, seasoning powder, soybean powder, milk powder, medicinal powder

6. Products applied to the body

All products used on the body are sensitive goods, including cosmetics, skin care products, nail polish, toothpaste and medicines.

Common products: lipstick, facial cream, makeup remover/oil, nail polish, foundation, toothpaste, sunscreen, ointment, hair wax

7. Products containing electronic chips

Generally, electrical appliances or items containing electronic chips are sensitive goods!

Common products: computers, mobile phones, iPads, game cards, SD Card memory cards, bank cards, mobile phone cards, etc.

8. Food, supplements and Chinese herbal medicines

All edible products and medicines are sensitive goods. In addition, meat, plants, fresh fruits and vegetables are prohibited.

Common commodities: tea, snacks, dry goods,  condiments, bird's nest, sea cucumber, abalone, shark's fin, saffron, Ganoderma lucidum, health products, pills/potions, moxibustion sticks

9. Sharp goods and sharp tools

All sharp tools are sensitive goods, including kitchen utensils, stationery, hardware tools, etc.

Common products: utility knives, fruit knives, kitchen knives, scissors, blades, compasses, medical needles.

10. Products related to religion

Customs generally inspects goods related to religion more strictly.

Common commodities: religious books, ritual props, religious CDs, etc.
